Size Guide

Velloura Size Guide

Find your best fit.

A simple approach to sizing

Measure the body, consider the intended silhouette and use the individual product information as your final reference.

Fit can vary between tops, bottoms, dresses, outerwear and different silhouettes. This guide explains how to take consistent measurements so you can make a more considered choice.

Start with the measurements that shape the garment.

01

Bust

Wrap the measuring tape around the fullest part of your bust. Keep the tape level across your back and comfortably close to the body without pulling it tight.

Tops · Dresses · Outerwear

02

Waist

Measure around your natural waistline. Keep the tape relaxed and parallel to the floor so the measurement reflects how the garment will sit during everyday wear.

Bottoms · Dresses · Sets

03

Hip

Stand naturally with your feet together and measure around the fullest part of your hips. Keep the tape straight rather than allowing it to rise at the back.

Pants · Bottoms · Dresses

04

Length

For garment length, begin from the relevant shoulder, waist or waistband point and measure vertically. For bottoms, consider both overall length and your preferred rise.

Dresses · Outerwear · Bottoms

Measurements are only one part of the fit.

The same body measurement can feel different across a fitted top, relaxed shirt, structured jacket or fluid dress. Always consider the intended silhouette before choosing between sizes.

Choose for the silhouette you want, not only the label.

01

Fitted silhouettes

Styles intended to sit close to the body usually leave less ease. If your measurements fall between sizes, consider how much room you prefer through the bust, waist or hip.

02

Relaxed silhouettes

Relaxed pieces are designed with additional space through the body. Their shape may intentionally feel broader or softer than a standard fitted garment.

03

Layering pieces

Jackets and outerwear may need additional room when worn over tops, knit layers or matching sets. Think about how you plan to wear the piece most often.

04

Between two sizes

When you sit between sizes, compare the areas that matter most for that particular garment and choose based on your preferred balance of structure, ease and movement.

Read the garment before choosing the size.

Clothing

Look beyond the size name.

A size label alone does not describe the complete fit. Silhouette, construction, rise, sleeve shape and overall proportion can all affect how a garment sits on the body.

01 Compare your body measurements with any measurements provided for the specific garment.
02 Consider whether the style is intended to be fitted, regular, relaxed or oversized.
03 For bottoms and dresses, pay particular attention to waist, hip, rise and overall length.

Accessories

Fit matters in the details.

Belts, hats, gloves and other wearable accessories can use different measurement points from clothing. Use the product information as the final guide for each individual item.

01 For belts, measure where you normally intend to wear the belt rather than relying only on your trouser size.
02 For hats and caps, measure around the head at the natural position where the style will sit.
03 For gloves and other fitted accessories, follow the measurement information shown with the individual product.

Product measurements take priority.

Velloura carries clothing and accessories across different shapes and silhouettes, so a single universal measurement chart cannot describe every product accurately.

When specific measurements or fit information are shown with an individual product, use those details as the most relevant reference and compare them with your own measurements taken using the method above.

Before you decide.

Consider the intended fit of the garment and identify the measurement that matters most for that style. For a fitted bottom, the waist and hip may be most important; for a relaxed top, your preferred amount of ease may matter more.
For the most consistent body measurements, use a flexible measuring tape over light clothing or close to the body. Bulky layers can add extra volume and make comparison less precise.
Garments can be shaped differently depending on their silhouette and construction. A structured jacket, relaxed top and fitted dress may all use different amounts of ease even when they carry the same size label.
Use the individual product information whenever specific measurements or fit guidance are provided. Those details are more relevant to that piece than a general sizing reference.
